What’s new

• NewSPEKTRUM Sync has its own address: sync.spektrum.health. Invitations, calendar files, and the Get the app steps all use it.
• FixedIf signing in can’t finish, the sign-in page says so within half a minute instead of waiting two minutes.
• FixedThe welcome page links to joining with an invite code (it used to mention an email link).

• NewGet the app: step-by-step help adding SPEKTRUM Sync to your home screen on an iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or computer. Find it in the menu under your photo.
• NewA Therapist badge, shown next to the names of therapists, like the Nurse Practitioner badge.
• BetterThe Community Guidelines now explain the Therapist badge, so everyone is asked to read and agree to them once more.

A new SPEKTRUM sign-in page, invitations you can send any way you like, and link previews.

• NewSign in right on SPEKTRUM Sync with your email and password, with “Forgot your password?” if you need it. Your account and password are the same as before.
• NewWeb addresses in posts, comments, and messages are now live links. Posts and messages with a link show a preview card with the page’s title, a short description, and its picture.
• NewNew pride flags for your profile: Two-Spirit, Polyamory, and Aroace.
• NewInvitations are now a message with a one-time code. Copy or share it by text, email, or however you like. The person you invite joins with any email they choose.
• BetterMembers start without invitations, and a moderator or admin can give you some. Please only invite people you trust, to keep SPEKTRUM Sync a safe and comfortable space for all.
• NewYou get a notification when someone gives you invitations, with a link straight to sending one.
• BetterIn a message request, link cards show without their picture until you accept, the same way photos wait. No one can put a picture in front of you before you’ve said yes.
• FixedPages open faster and more reliably. When Wix (which runs SPEKTRUM Sync) is slow to answer, SPEKTRUM Sync asks again instead of waiting, so tapping a link no longer seems to do nothing.
• BetterAfter you tap a link, a shimmer along the rainbow at the top shows the page is on its way.
• BetterYour invitations show who joined with each one, by the name they use now.
• BetterSPEKTRUM Sync checks for new messages more gently, so it stays quick: often while a conversation is lively, less when it’s quiet, and right away when a notification arrives.

• FixedYou stay signed in: for 30 days after your last visit (or until you sign out), even when you close the app. Before, you were signed out every few hours.

• FixedTapping a notification opens what it’s about (the conversation, for a message), even when the app was already open.
• BetterMessages arrive as they’re sent: an open conversation and your Messages list update on their own, right away if you have notifications on, and within seconds otherwise. The badges keep up too.

• BetterSearch your friends list by name.

• BetterOn your phone, touch and hold a message to react to it, or to copy what it says.

React to messages, and hear about clinic news first.

• NewReact to messages: tap React under a message and choose from the same reactions as posts. Tap a reaction to add yours too, or tap yours to take it back. In group messages you can see who reacted.
• NewClinic announcements: official news from SPEKTRUM Health, like closures or new services, is pinned to the top of the feed, and you get a notification. You can turn these notifications off in Account settings.
• FixedThe SPEKTRUM Sync logo shows again on the “You’re offline” page in the installed app.

SPEKTRUM Sync can live on your home screen now, with notifications if you’d like them.

• NewAdd SPEKTRUM Sync to your home screen and open it like an app. On an iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android or a computer, choose Install.
• NewPush notifications, if you’d like them: new messages, replies, mentions, and friend requests reach you even when SPEKTRUM Sync is closed. They’re discreet unless you choose to show names and previews. Turn them on in Account settings.
• NewThe app’s icon shows how many new things are waiting for you.
• NewMention people in group messages: type @ and choose their name.
• NewReport a problem with the site from your account menu, and see what’s changed right here on What’s new.
• NewSome members can now invite a few people of their own. If you can, you’ll see Invite someone in your account menu.
• BetterMessages on phones: conversations fill the screen, like a messaging app, so they’re easier to read and reply to.
• BetterThe Community Guidelines have a new Compliance section. You’ll be asked to read and agree to them again.
